Evelyn Brackett (American, B. 1922) Oil on Canvasboard, "Group of Children", H 17.5" W 28" | Signed lower left. Evelyn Brackett (Raskin) was a Cass Corridor (Detroit) artist in the 1950's - 1970's. Evelyn Brackett is lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was married in the early 1940's to Donald Brackett, who founded the Michigan Watercolor Society. They later divorced and Evelyn re-married to Dr. Henry Raskin in 1964. Evelyn studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the College for Creative Studies (formerly The Society of Arts and Crafts). Having a wood frame, H 24.75", W 35.25". Provenance: Property of a Southfield, MI private collector. Garelick's Gallery, Detroit.
