Description
Tray. A lovely English silver eight sided teapot. This teapot features a flush hinged lid with a with central elevated oval dome under a removable carved wood finial, monogrammed shield form cartouche to lid, chased floral boarder throughout, chased floral swag encompassing the body, and a carved wooded handle. Stamped with a city mark of London, maker's mark of Henry Chawder, and a date letter of 1787. Accompanied by a monogrammed matching Georgian period English silver footed petite tray with a chased triangle border, interior chased floral border, and a central engraved shield form cartouche under draped swag - with a city mark of London, maker's mark of Henry Chawner, and a date stamp of 1786. The total approx. weight of both items is 18.76 troy oz (gross). From a Manhattan, NY estate. Dimensions: teapot measures approx. 6" in height.

Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents.
