Description
A Queen Anne Style Walnut Spice Chest by Robert Treate Hogg, Circa 1970. Modeled as a miniature Delaware Valley Chest on Stand in the 18th century tradition. Dovetailed case with molded cornice above a pair of a pair of tombstone paneled doors enclosing three over two short drawers and three graduated drawers below, the molded waist above four short drawers, raised on cabriole legs ending in 'Spanish' feet. Incised underneath the bottom interior drawer "Handmade by Robert Treate Hogg / For John M. Thayer 1970".
Dimensions: Height 32 1/2in; width 18 1/4in; depth 16in.
Condition
In overall good condition. Typical marks, wear, nicks, scuffs and surface scratches. Shrinkage cracks to the top of case. Two drawers lacking brass bail handles. No Key.
