This is an superb Large Round Cake Platter made by ROYAL COPENHAGEN, Aluminia factory in Denmark
The platter is in the Tranquebar pattern.
It is properly marked with Royal Copenhagen back stamp. It is made in 1960.
It has beautiful blue and white floral pattern with open lattice border.
Tranquebar is Aluminum's most famous design. It was developed in 1912. It is made of hard and durable earthenware called flint. Flintware is also known for its gray color. All Tranquebar items are hand painted. This makes it very artistic and collectible.
The platter is 11 1/4".
It is very rare and just beautiful.
It is is in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks. It has some crazing.
