Description
Roman, Imperial period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A lovely carnelian intaglio of a nude winged male youth, perhaps Cupid (Greek Eros) striding left with arms outstretched. He wears a helmet or wreath. Cupid was the Roman god of desire, erotic love, attraction and affection. Easily set in a ring or pendant to be wearable! Size: 0.6" L x 0.5" W (1.5 cm x 1.3 cm)
