Description
Native American Indian, Southwest, Hopi, ca. mid 20th century CE. A groups of 5 wood Yeibichai kachina figures with cloth, yarn, sequins, and beading adorning their bodies. Four are nearly identical in stature and costume, and the tallest wears velvet pants and shirt. Size of tallest: 4" W x 12.5" H (10.2 cm x 31.8 cm)
Provenance: private Don Phelps collection, owner Todos Santos Trading Post, Alamo, California, USA, before 2000

Missing implements in hands, arm is reattached on one with break line visible. Tears and fraying to sewn bags and beading. Abrasions and chips to wood and pigments. Good vintage condition.
