Description
Two fascinating prototype cameras, from the late 1960s, made by the Multi Photo Camera Corporation. Founded 1966 in Motley, Minnesota, the Multi Photo Camera Corporation produced these two prototype cameras, mainly for use in ID Card photography.Patented in 1971 and 1972, these multi image cameras were used for taking multiple exposures on one area of film (in this case, Polaroid film stock), by shifting the orientation of the camera lens to coincide with a small area of the film. These prototypes are particularly interesting in their ability to create 1, 2, 4, 6, 9 - or up to 15 images - on one print, unlike any other camera of their time. The corporate records and U.S. Patent documents are included,as are many test images of the inventor's family, as well as early images of the cameras in use. A fascinating set of photographic history. Condition: Excellent overall
