GERMAN PORCELAIN PLATES, LOT OF THREE, comprising a matching pair of polychrome hand-painted oyster plates with seven indentations and a plate featuring transfer image of the Melon Eaters depicting children eating fruit with a dog at their feet on brown ground with gilt swag border decoration. Marks to underside include blue-printed beehive/shield mark and assorted impressed or printed numerals. C.M. Hutschenreuther, Bavaria, Germany; and other. Fourth quarter 19th century. 9" and 9 7/8" D.

Condition
Undamaged; Melon Eaters plate having two minute spots of wear to front.
