VERY RARE 1908 MANILA, PHILIPPINES CARNIVAL POSTER, lithograph on paper, full-sheet, depicting the Red Devil sprinkling "joy dust" on carnival revelers, signed "Fuster / 1908" in the plate. Printed by R. Montes, Manila, PI. Housed under glass in a modern frame. 1909. 46 1/4" x 28 1/4" sight, 50 1/2" x 33" OA.
Catalogue Note: The present poster was produced to promote the second Manila Carnival held February 2nd through 9th, 1909. The Carnival was held annually from 1908 to 1939 and was considered the "Greatest Annual Event in the Orient" during the period. We could locate only one other example of this poster, in a private collection, formerly in the renowned magic poster collection of Mr. Alan J. Kanter.

Condition
Very good overall condition with strong colors, separation at the center horizontal fold, two tears from the bottom edge resulting in very small losses, and scattered short creases. Not examined out of frame.
