Japanese tilting mirror. Meiji period, ca.1870.
Black lacquered wood, mother-of-pearl inlay.
It presents marks of use and some faults.
Measurements: 93 x 50 x 26 cm.
Japanese mirror from the Meiji period. The lateral uprights are turned and finished off with pinnacles. They are joined by an openwork crested crest with vegetal interlacing based on scrolls and brackets. The mirror is housed in a tilting frame decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay in the form of floral bouquets and ovals.
