This is a rare example of a work by Prior that uses a painted matting around the exterior of the image.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.

Condition

Framed: 31 1/8 x 26 3/8 inches.
In overall good and stable condition, with fine network of craquelure throughout. Few bubbles to canvas at upper right, likely a result of the relining process (relined by Gustav Kliman in 1977). Errant brushstroke to upper left corner. Scratches and finish loss throughout frame.
