Description
(A) A No. 39 "The Handlan" double-guard bellbottom model made by the Handlan-Buck Co. "FRISCO" is embossed on the bayonet base, serial number "50607" stamped in and has a No. 1 ratchet burner affixed. The clear Corning NonEx globe is embossed "FRISCO" and "Safety First." Condition: 5.0, Fair. It shows minor signs of railroad use. The lantern is missing the steel wire latch spring and there is a split in the lid reflector. There are numerous solder repairs - not well done - on the underside of the base and some filler topside. (B) An Armspear Giant model, single-guard wire-bottom. The lid reflector is embossed "L. & N. R. R. "The fount is stuck in the cup and has a No. 2 long-stem ratchet burner affixed. The selenium red Corning NonEx globe is embossed "L. & N. R. R." in average relief. Color translucence is good. Condition: 7.0, Very Good. Condition: (Fair - Very Good). Dimensions: Largest: 6 - 1/4" x 6 - 1/4" x 11".
