Original brown-red cloth, covers with gilt designs after Charles Shannon, spine gilt-lettered, edges uncut (spine darkened, wear to spine ends, corners bumped). Provenance: Raymond Asquith (1878-1916), English barrister and eldest son of British Prime Minister H. H. Asquith (signature, 1 July 1895).
