Chest-on-chest, Colchester, Connecticut region, c. 1800, cherry, pine and chestnut secondary, two round finials on round plinths, center turned spool shaped finial over broken arch crest molding with inlaid rosettes, dentil and cove molding over pierced scroll board over two shallow drawers centered by shell carved, punch decorated drawer above four graduated long drawers, case with chamfered lambs tongue corners all resting on base of four graduated long drawers with base molding on four bracket feet, all drawers with round stamped brass pulls in single holes, refinished, cracks to scroll board, original feet and glue blocks with one rear glue block missing and one front pair glue blocks loose but present, original drawer runners, top chest: 47" h. x 21 1/2" w. 39 1/2" l., bottom chest: 38" h. x 21" w. x 38" l.
