This book is the 26th memoir of the Egypt Exploration Fund. “Ehnasya” by W.M. Flinders Petrie is a survey of research in Heracleopolis Magna, the ancient Egyptian city in Upper Egypt, which is often thought to bet the Biblical city of Hanes. Petrie, known for his many Egyptian excavations, uncovered many temple remains, Roman era artifacts, and even items thought to be associated with Rameses II. Petries excavation yielded countless finds most of which were included in his “Ehnasya” (the name Petrie gave to the archaeological site).
This first edition includes impressive sketch illustrations throughout!
