Japanese Star Globe, c. 1945, the paper-covered globe marked and inscribed in Japanese, with aluminum meridian and horizon rings, contained within a fitted mahogany box of issue with Japanese instructions inside lid and maker's label to front, with securing hooks, H.- 8 in., W.- 7 7/8 in., D.- 7 3/4 in. Provenance: Property from a Gentleman Antiquarian and Dealer, Mandeville, Louisiana.
