Your focus is drawn to the fishing boat with the Captain wearing his traditional captains hat smoking a pipe and holding on to a rope controlling the large single sail, sitting further back in the stern is his first mate wearing yellow fishermans hat his steering the rudder. With dark storm clouds above, in the distant background you can see some rays of sunshine breaking through the clouds.

Medium oil on Winsor & Newton canvas.

Signed in the bottom corner by the British artist Frank Kipling 1867 to 1957.

Frank Kipling was a relative of Rudyard Kipling, he was also the first commodore of Largs Sailing Club, and designed their burgee logo.
