Model “3.A.” is stamped on the lid of this French weave creel by the respected Portland, Oregon maker. Measuring 14 1/4” wide x 9” tall, with its original “The George Lawrence Co.” metal medallion on the front leather, the tooling in the company's trademark pattern. The tightly woven basket has minor breaks with a few of the underside supporting bands missing, expected scuffs to the leather, and what appears to be an old professional replacement of the lid strap. Very nice craftsmanship and a handsome example.
