Original colored and etched frontispiece and 12 color heliogravures with original remarques by Dali, each within 17 unbound and unstitched gatherings, loose as issued in original brown cloth chemise gilt; original morocco-backed folding case (spine with some rubbing and surface scratches, lacking clasps, else fine).
LIMITED EDITION, number 324 of 2500 copies SIGNED BY DALI on the title-page and printed on Mandeure paper. “Direct comparison of the Tenniel and Dali images illustrates the surrealist departure from aesthetic norms and its focus on imagination, the dreamscape, and the unconscious mind” (Dali in Wonderland, California State University Northridge Special Collections, 16 November 2021).
