John Wayne GacyAlso known as Pogo the Clown or The Killer Clown, he was an American serial killer and sexual offender who raped and killed at least 33 young men, mostly minors, between 1972 and 1978.Of his victims, 29 were buried in the semi-basement of his own house, three in different places in the house, and another four were thrown into a nearby river. He was called "The Killer Clown" because he performed social services at parades and parties for children dressed as a clown, where he called himself "Pogo the Clown", a character he created himself.
