Description: #1: Fair/Good (1.5). Front cover split 50% at spine, front cover chipped at bottom spine and bottom right corner, 2 TAPE REPAIRS to spine, creases, rubs, tears, 2 reseller's rubberstamps (one with ink mark), marginal chips to a number of pages. Tan pages.
#2: Good+ (2.5). Possibly restored. A few small splits and nicks to spine, rubs, creases, edgewear, front cover possibly adhered to 1st page at spine with GLUE (or the printer may have used excess glue affecting inner margin of 1st page - it's hard to tell with squarebound mags). Light tan pages.
#3: Good (2.0). Spine stress, small TAPE REPAIRS to spine ends, covers heavily creased, tiny chip and two ¾" tears to back cover. Cream pages.
#4: Fair (1.0). Covers detached from pageblock, covers heavily creased and worn, bottom right corner of covers and pages dampsoiled, spine heavily reinforced with discolored TAPE, tears to 1st page, small tape repairs to 1st and last pages. Tan pages.
#5: VG (4.0). Tiny chip to bottom spine, slight reading bend at spine, moderate edge and corner wear, reseller's rubberstamp to front cover, small dampspot to back cover edge. Cream to off-white pages, bottom edge slightly tan.
#6: Good+ (2.5). 3" split at bottom spine, small chips to spine ends, mild creasing and rubs to corners and edges, a few nicks, reseller's rubberstamp to logo. Light tan pages.
#7: G/VG (3.0). 2½" split to bottom spine, edgewear, penciled resale price to logo, edge toning to back cover. Light tan pages.
#1 Replica (1999): NM (9.4). A few mild spine ticks with no color break. White pages.

Gall in the Family: "The 1961 Batman Annual featured a pinup, drawn by Sheldon Moldoff, of the entire smiling "Batman Family." It looked like Batman and Batwoman were the parents, with Robin and Bat-Girl as the kids and Bat-Mite as the baby. Ace doubled as the family dog, with Alfred and Police Commissioner Gordon on hand as a couple of elderly uncles. Someone capable of taking this picture seriously might have concluded the vengeful Batman of yore had at last been healed and made whole, but the less fanciful fact was that the series had somehow taken a wrong turn, switching from superheroes to situation comedy." — Les Daniels, Batman: The Complete History.
