This dramatic, silhouetted peopled landscape is rendered in silver gelatin. Most likely this print has been sepia-toned, but given the saturation of the hue its also possible it was hand-colored. The print is on double-weight, lightly-textured, luster surface silver gelatin paper on an original mount that has been trimmed. This is an unpublished/untitled image, meaning that it was not published in The North American Indian set of books. It is in excellent condition overall and presents a unique opportunity for discerning collector.

Condition
This print is in excellent condition overall. There are two spots of retouching at the upper and lower right margin edge, visible upon close inspection. The darkening at the upper corners is original to the print. There is a minor spot of surface scuffing at the left, center quadrant, near the margin edge of the print, primarily visible in bright, direct reflected light. There are graphite notations at the lower margin edge on the print verso. Minor retouching with archival, photographic dyes. The condition reports for the lots offered by Santa Fe Art Auction (SFAA) are provided as a courtesy and convenience for potential buyers.
