Liner du Corps Expeditionnaire francais. En materiaux composite haute pression. Fabrication MSA. Coiffe complete avec son bandeau de sudation et sa nuquiere. Jugulaire en cuir marron, sans marquages visibles. Epaisse peinture kaki a 70%. Insigne frontale, representant le drapeau consulaire francais et le lettrage PR, probablement pour peloton routier. a noter une certaine usure et patine de la piece. Selon les informations du vendeur, ce liner provient d'Italie. Le corps expeditionnaire francais est mis sur pied au cours de l'ete 1943. Il constitue au mois d'aout l'un des deux groupements du 1er corps de debarquement forme a partir d'unites rassemblees en Afrique du Nord reequipees par les Allies. Il se compose alors de la 2e division d'infanterie marocaine du general Dody, de la 3e division d'infanterie algerienne du general de Monsabert, des 3e et 4e groupes de tabors marocains du general Guillaume et d'elements de reserve generale. Le 18 novembre 1943, il devient, sous les ordres du general Juin, 1re armee et, en vue de son engagement en Italie, est mis a la disposition du 15e groupe d'armees alliees du general Alexander, commandant le theatre d'operations, compose de la VIIIe armee britannique placee sous les ordres de Montgomery puis de Leese et de la Ve armee americaine de Clark. Les Francais interviennent dans le cadre de la Ve armee americaine. Des le mois de decembre, les Francais interviennent sur le front italien, conquerant les massifs du Pantano et de la Mainarde. According to the information of the seller, this liner comes from Italy. The French expeditionary force was formed in the summer of 1943. In August, it formed one of two groups of the 1st Landing Corps formed from units assembled in North Africa re-equipped by the Allies. It consisted of the 2nd Moroccan infantry division of General Dody, the 3rd Algerian infantry division of General de Monsabert, the 3rd and 4th groups of Moroccan tabors of General Guillaume and general reserve elements. On November 18, 1943, he became, under the orders of General June, 1st Army and, for his engagement in Italy, was made available to the 15th group of allied armies of General Alexander, commander of the theatre of operations, composed of the British Eighth Army under Montgomery, then Leese, and Clark’s Fifth American Army.
