The best Hepplewhite style mahogany dining room table and 12 matching Hepplewhite chairs with extensive inlays (note - the chairs and table match in style but were likely not sold together when originally made). All custom made, probably late 19th century. The table is constructed of 3 sections all of which can be used as a separate piece of furniture, including: Two D-shaped console tables with a single drop-leaf with pullout leg that form the ends of the table and a separate drop leaf table that forms the center. When all the leaves are extended, the table opens to 11' 2"L x 3' 8"W x 30 1/2"H - optionally, the center drop-leaf table can be removed and the 2 D-Shaped ends can be combined to form a smaller table measuring 6' 8". The leaves all rest on pullout legs and held in place by brass clamps. The edge and apron of the table all with line inlays - the apron ends also decorated with a large oval sunburst inlay flanked by smaller oval sunburst inlays - the top of the legs with bellflower inlays. The 12 Hepplewhite chairs include 10 side chairs and 2 arm chairs, all with upholstered seats, satinwood inlays and cross stretchers - the 2 arm chairs with reeded columns supporting the shaped arms. The arm chairs measure 18 3/4"W x 20 1/2"D x 37 3/4"H x 20"H (seat height). The entire set has been refinished, some use wear to table and chairs, but overall very good condition including the upholstered seats.
