A beautifully made annual report for the Commonwealth Edison Company of Chicago - published in 1923 for the companies performance in 1922. Cover masterfully illustrated in the Art Deco style by unknown artist. Report includes report from the president, the "Income and Expense Account" and "Balance Sheet" which shows $166,941,708.91 in assets for the year end. and "Total Surplus of the Company" of $10,608,465.50 - showing reports of this era showed numbers down to the penny. At the time of its printing, President Samuel Insull boasted 28,489 stockholders - "90 per cent live in Chicago, and about 5 per cent live in the state outside of the city." This booklet which measures 9 5/16 x 6 3/4 inches is a must have for any fan of 1920s industrial America.
Condition
Very Fine (8 out of 10) condition. Some foxing on interior pages which are off white to white and very slight wear on spine.
