A Federal silver covered sugar urn, Liberty Browne (1776-1831), Philadelphia, PA, circa 1800
Provenance
Of urn-form with footed base, engraved with be-ribboned cartouche bearing the initials, "JCB," marked on foot exterior and twice to underside.
H: 10 ¾ in., Weight: 15.05 oz. t.

Collection of L. Delmar and Susan Burrows Swan, Wilmington, Delaware.
Susan B. Swan was a needlework scholar and author. She served for many years as a curator at Winterthur Museum.
Condition
lot 81: mostly bright, but with some persistent horizontal streaks of tarnish to body commensurate with age; some surface cracks to stem, and to two side panels of base, but appear to be stable overall
