3.5X4.5 Color Glossy vintage candid photograph signed in ballpoint ink by Harry Callahan. In very good condition.(1912-1999) Harry Callahan was an American photographer and educator. He taught at both the Institute of Design in Chicago and the Rhode Island School of Design.Callahan's first solo exhibition was at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1951. He had a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1976/1977. Callahan was a recipient of the Edward MacDowell Medal and the National Medal of Arts. He represented the United States in the Venice Biennale in 1978.This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety.
