Antique English Melon Shaped Sterling Tea Set, 1828 by Bernard's. This is a 3 piece English, George IV, tea set by the Bernard family. Made in London, hallmarked 1828. The body of the pieces are a round melon shape with hand chased floral decoration on a stippled background. The handles and bottom of pieces are hallmarked. The set includes the teapot H 6.5" x W 11.5", the creamer H 4.5" x W 8.5" and the sugar bowl H 3.75" x W 7". The total weight of all 3 pieces is 43.75 troy ounces of sterling.
