An Elizabeth II silver novelty travelling photograph frame, mark of Grant Macdonald, London 2002, Jubilee marked, in the form of a goldsmith's double loupe, of oval form with two hinged circular frames, the top with an applied gold coloured leopard's head, 5 x 4cm, 2.3ozt gross Provenance: A gift from the worshipful Company of Goldsmiths' Prime Warden, 9 July 2002 Grant Macdonald trained at the Central School of Art in London and once established, began taking commissions from London's famous guilds and livery companies for ceremonial ware. He supplies London's famous Bond Street retailers and has become the default choice for the design and production of fine silverware for celebrities and royalty. In 2000, he won the competition to design the war memorial for Dresden Cathedral, and in 2015 he was awarded the Royal Warrant to HRH The Prince of Wales.
