Nathan Cabot Hale (American, b. 1924) "Equestrian Study" bronze sculpture mounted on mahogany base, depicting a rearing horse with rider, signed in cast "N. Hale". 12" H x 12" W x 9" D. Note: Hale was educated at the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and the Art Students League during the 1940s. He returned to formal studies in the 1970s and received a Ph.D. in morphology and perceptual psychology from Union Graduate School. He was a professor at the Art Students League, New York.
