Item Details

Description

Continental, circa 1930, showing a pair of patinated spelter geese in flight, mounted atop a striking multi-coloured onyx base with a recessed diamond shaped clock-face with silvered dial & blackened Arabic numerals. Signed Van de Voorde in the mold for Belgian maker George Van de Voorde (1878-1965). Together with twin garnitures elements measuring 8.25" high x 4" wide x 5.75" deep.

Condition

November 8-23: Condition noted: chipping and loss along back of the base, wear to the finish of the birds. Clock requires service, appears to be complete. Garniture appear to be in good condition.
