A Group of Six Mid-1800s Engravings of Washington, Lincoln & S. Adams

A collection of six engravings of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Samuel Adams, all dating from the mid-19th century. The largest measures 14" x 18", while the smallest measures 8" x 10.5". Includes two images of Lincoln (one with his family), one image of Samuel Adams, and three images of George Washington. All have moderate to heavy toning with varying degrees of foxing, staining, and dampstaining. Some chipped edges or small tears. Some damage from tape on the standing Lincoln lithograph has been partially repaired. Please refer to the photographs for further condition information.

2. Samuel Adams, measuring 8" x 10.5". New York: Johnson, Fry, & Co., [1862]. Engraved from an original painting by Chappel. Matted to the overall size of 10.75" x 13.75"
3. Washington The Mediator, measuring 14" x 10". Taken from an issue of Harper's Weekly, ca. 1861. On verso is a printed article stating that the image was inspired by a scene described in Washington Irving's "Life of Washington."
4. George Washington, First President of the United States, measuring 9.75" x 14.25". Hartford: D.W. Kellog & Co., ca. 1820s.
