Jack Kerouac's personal copy of an issue of "City Lights Journal, No. 1". San Francisco: City Lights Books, 1963. Edited by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. A large twelvemo, 112pp, including ads and a subscription form. Includes "Among the Iroquois" by Kerouac. With black and white images throughout. Stamped on the title page with both a Jack Kerouac Estate stamp and the raised blind seal from the Executor of the Estate, John Sampas, who was the brother-in-law of Jack Kerouac and the brother of Stella Kerouac, Jack's wife. Paper wraps, with cracked/split binding. Dampstaining and dried mildew stains along the spine and gutters. Light edge toning at the edges. Worn corners and edges.
