The recto reads in German and English stating that any German soldier who carries this pass is to be ‘disarmed, to be well looked after, to receive food and medical attention as required, and to be removed from the danger zone as soon as possible'. On the verso are more detailed instructions in German, on what is to be done with soldiers carrying this pass and what those soldiers should do to surrender themselves without incident.
