A collection of twelve caricatures, each 4 x 6 in. color, depicting members of the Wehrmacht, various ranks. Each card bears the printed signature of the artist JEAN-RENE DEBARRE (1907-1968), a Belgian artist known primarily for his sculpture and public artworks. They are housed within a cardboard box, titled ‘Yesterday’s Supermen? To-Day’s P.W.’s’, printed in Verviers, Belgium in 1944. These were clearly published in celebration of the liberation of Belgium in 1944. The cards are in very good condition, but the case covers are torn.
