A group of 11 souvenir items commemorating the 1936 Games, includes: two tiny ribboned pins, one in the form of a miniature German Olympic Decoration, Second Class, the other a miniature ‘Loyal Service’ merit award; a round pin set on yellow ribbon and pin-back style mechanism, bears rusting; four pinback-style pins, each stamped from base metal with raised designs and measuring from 1.3 to 1.75 in. diameter; a pen knife, 2.75 in. long, with Olympic rings stamped on one side, and the other stamped in English ‘The International Bowling Tournament July 22-26, 1936’. Rusted and blade seized; a stamped metal Olympics plaque, 3.25 long, showing the stadium, possibly a souvenir for display or removed from another item; a silver-plated base metal shield-shaped plaque showing a howling wolf and stamped ‘Partnach Gorge’, the site of the Olympic ski-jump event, with two holes for mounting, 1.5 in. tall, rusted; and an enameled brass pendant, 1.25 in., illegible maker’s mark on verso.
