Table clock. France, early nineteenth century, Charles X style.
Ash wood and gilded bronze.
Measures: 48 x 25'5 x 15'5 cm.
The clock is placed on a rectangular molded base, supported by four small legs. The clock case and the pendulum are placed between four elegant columns of smooth shaft, in wood, and capitals with acanthus leaves synthesized in gilded bronze. Above the columns is an entablature decorated with military trophies and gilded vegetal elements. The clock has a large pendulum chiseled with vegetal motifs. These same vegetal elements adorn the clock face, also delicately chiseled with geometric motifs.
