Nye was a writer, journalist, and clubwoman based in Southern California. She was the women's club editor and Hollywood columnist at the Los Angeles Times from 1919 to 1934. It is not unusual to find she was also a painter. Light surface dirt. Some inpainting upper half, 1” square in two areas. Abrasion from frame along perimeter. Good condition for age.
