Member of the Chinese Artists Association, [1] Member of the Chinese Printmakers Association, and a national first-class artist. He has successively served as senior painter of Jiangsu Provincial Printmaking Academy, vice president of Jiangsu Workers Art and Calligraphy Association, vice president of Hanshan Art Society, vice president of Jin Chang Painting Academy, vice president of Suzhou Democratic League Calligraphy and Painting Association, and honorary president of Suzhou Workers Art Association. In 1958, he worked as an art editor in a Suzhou newspaper. In 1981, he worked in creative design at the Taohuawu Woodcut New Year Picture Society. From 1983, he worked in creation and research at the Suzhou Printmaking Institute until his retirement from the Suzhou Art Museum in 1998. He is good at printmaking, traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy.On December 28, 2022, Mr. Raus passed away in Suzhou at the age of 84.
