A Selection of Three Terracotta Miniature Whistles and a Miniature Figurine, Peru, 1000-1550 CE
1. Bird shaped Acarona. Early Horizon. Length: 5.6 cm
2. Whistle with athro-zoomorphic decoration, Chimu, 1450-1550 CE. Height: 4.3 cm
3. A Shell shaped whistle, Chimu-Inca, Late Horizon, Â 1450-1550. Height: 80.4 cm
4. Small figurine, Chincha, 1000-1450. Height: 8.5 cm
Provenance: Jean Pierre Cottier and Fiorella Cottier-Angeli, Geneva, Switzerland. Purchased by Yossef Maiman between 2000-2008. Estate of Yossef Maiman.
Notes: Most items from the Cottier collection were purchased between 1960's-1980's from prominent collectors such as Carlos Campilli (Miami), Sophie Pdgorska (Geneva) and Marguerite Motte (Paris).
