Description

35-40% silver content. The wire edge around the rim suggests a proof coin, but statistically there were no 1945 Philadelphia proof coins minted. Strong strike. Observe detail of Jefferson's hair and coat. The crease in the cheek goes to the bottom of the chin, seldom seen even in uncirculated Jefferson nickels. Four perhaps five steps remain on reverse.
