2-pc periwinkle silk faille day dress c/o fitted bodice w/ pleated white silk bands to front, back & cuff, CF thread covered button closures, silk ribbon bows to sleeves & at CB W, full trained skirt w/ inverted box pleat to CB, c. 1867, B 34”, L 21”, skirt W 26”, L 40”, (many small stains/holes/snacks, underarms discolored w/ small tears, 1.75” repair right elbow, wear spots, 2.5” tear along front left skirt W & 1” back left W, light discoloration, shattering to hem w/ few tears up to 3.5”) good. Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum to benefit collections care, preservation and future acquisitions.
