Peter Lanyon (British, 1918-1964)(Untitled) Cane Chair Screenprint in colours, circa 1954, on wove paper, signed and numbered 1/11 in pencil (there were also two or three artist's proofs), printed by the artist, the full sheet, framedSheet 500 x 362mm (19 3/4 x 14 1/4in)Footnotes:We are grateful to Martin Lanyon, for his assistance in cataloguing this lot.This print is also sometimes known as Untitled (Garden Furniture).This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: ARAR Goods subject to Artists Resale Right Additional Premium.

Condition

In addition to the catalogue entry:
- with mount and time-staining
- scattered foxing, mostly visible at sheet edges and verso
- with creases to the lower right sheet edge
- a short pencil mark to the centre of the lower margin; with minor surface dirt in places
- taped with brown tape to the mount at upper corners verso
The colours very strong. Inscribed 'Lanyon 1954(9?)' in blue pen verso. The stray ink verso would be inherent to the printing process.
