With paneled lid and sides, the front carved with diamond motifs, inscribed and dated, "RW 1684."

Condition
lot 28: nice rubbed surface with patina commensurate with age; lid with patch along back left-facing edge, back right-facing edge, and to left-facing back corner, also with age crack and some minor insect damage running along left-most facing panel- the right-most facing panel on lid with split / loose piece of panel (currently held in place with tape), the center panel to lid with age crack; appears to retain period iron hinges which have been moved (evidence of former nail holes and voids where they were originally placed), the left-facing hinge reattached with later screws to interior, the right-facing hinge reattached with later screws to exterior; old age crack to left-facing side panel; interior bottom boards with expected age / shrinkage cracks and some minor splits, one bottom board apparently later / replaced, some boards with scotch tape along seam to cover cracks; back left top of stile to back boards with replaced wood segment; some occasional losses to edges and evidence of old insect damage commensurate with age
