Compton (1867 - 1938), engineer in New Mexico"; second frame holding two images, one an encampment of teepees on a plain, other a portrait of a child in traditional attire and jewelry, note verso reads in part "Photos by John L. Maloney, 1908-1911 at Flat Head Indian Powows in Arlee (Near Helena)"; larger silver gelatin print of a young basket weaver, seated on ground with dog, note verso reads "Weaver maybe from California or Great Basin tribes, including Pima, Papago or Apache, likely circa 1920's to 1930's, ss: 7 1/2" h. x 9 1/2" w.; last a close-up portrait of small family, man, woman and child, slightly blurry and underexposed, note verso reads "Manuel Komroff (1890 - 1974), Pueblos, New Mexico, early photograph by Komroff, taken when he made annual trips to Taos, ss: 8 1/8" h. x 12 3/4" w., all pieces with wear consistent with age and use, none examined out of frame, all sold as is.
