Vintage rhinestone costume jewelry, silk case, necklace, earrings, bracelet, change purse mirror, 1940's-1950's. Silver tone clear rhinestone draping bib necklace, 14" with marquise stone at the front of the neck, two curved drops and three strands of clear rhiinestones. The drop is appx.1. 5", flip clasp. The bracelet has five marquise clear rhinstones set on the ends and in the center between the two strands that have an open cateye shape. The width of the bracelet is appx. 3/4" at the widest point and 6. 75" long. Wide flip clasp. The last are clear screwback earings with a double strand and a smalle rmarquise stone between the strands at the bottom. The drop is appx.1. 25" long . The case has an insert that holds the jewelry set - the bracelet appears to be what was worn the most - some wear and a little graying of some of the stones. The necklace is in very good condition and the earrings look unworn - i believe that is because getting them off the insert is very difficult -you have to finess them off the card to get the screwback through the hole. That could be remedies by widening the hole. There is a hinged change pursse and small 2. 75" by 2" mirror that slides in a pocket in the lid. The mirror is now just a piece of glass as the reflective treatment has worn off. The case this comes in is a ribbed silk black case with twist lock and gold tone mechanism.
