Published on the occasion of the April 23 – June 15, 1974 exhibition held by the Galerie Claude Bernard, Paris. Esteve is well known for his rich, bright colors similar to the fauvist movement.
This lithograph is also a great example of a printing process known as “touché” which closely replicates the appearance of an original gouache, with heavy inking on large surfaces.
Esteve was among others, a master of this technique.
