Description

The naked youth modeled in a contrapposto pose with his hands clasped behind his head, oval base, inscribed ROBERT SAAKE FEC. Height 19 inches.

Condition

appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition; the sculpture has a uniform dulled appearance; the two join lines on each arm are somewhat visually prominent; there are some inconsequential scattered scuffs to the patina; there is a thin recctangular discoloration patch to the patina on the figure's left thigh, at the side, not original to the making
