This lot consists of a hand painted oil painting on canvas, rendered in the modern style of Fauvist painter Henri Matisse (French, 1869-1954). "Henri Matisse" is inscribed in black paint at lower right. Image depicts a women sitting in red and yellow interior next to a table with flowers; the entire composition is done in bright, vivid colors. A striking piece executed in the modernist style for which Matisse was so well known.
