Condition/Comments: Ornate and colorful bright cobalt glazed porcelain pitcher is stamped Brunt Art Ware on the base. It features an applied image of a gentleman enjoying his meal and a good-sized tankard of Porter Wiener beer. Text and ornamental details are rendered in gold. The applique of the man shows wear and oxidation of some of the colors used in the illustration while others have remained intact. The gold accents show wear and loss in several places, most notably at the handle and around the ridges at the base, where almost all of the gold pinstripes are missing. Fortunately, the branding has been less affected and is still legible and very attractive against the deep cobalt blue. The only blemish to the pitcher itself is a crack at the spout/lip that is far more visible from the inside than out. There are no chips or repairs. 8 inches wide from handle to spout, 6-1/2 diameter at base, 12 inches high. Nice piece!
